Connecting to IDX through Ipad

Was able to access and run IDX on iPad 9th gen by having these setting on Safari

Only works on Safari and not on Chrome.

That’s really cool. We’ll keep investigating in the short-term why Chrome and Safari are inconsistent here.

Longer term, we want to avoid you having to ever change any of your security settings in general.

It is working for me in Chrome. You have to check ā€œAllow cross-website trackingā€ in settings. And the same in Safari as you guys mention above.

What is NOT working is ā€œinstalled appā€ via chrome. It’s basically Safari, but the settings about cookies do not work… Any idea how to fix it? It’s more compact to work with and you got icon on the home screen. It’s called ā€œstandalone modeā€ and it’s related with PWA.

iPad 5 mini. Latest OS.

Thanks.

Strange this actually does work for me with Safari.

You could try going to IDX in Chrome > Saving to home screen (that’ll give you the icon). Then switch your default browser to Safari. Then clicking the icon will open the ā€œappā€ in Safari.

Yes I did exactly this process. No change.

it is now working well in both safari and chrome on ipados 18.2.
But it isn’t working when starting from added-to-home-screen icon. the home page is showing the following warning:
Workspaces may not load because third-party cookies are disabled.

Experiencing the exact same issues with the ā€œWorkspaces may not loadā€¦ā€ issue and not able to load one of my work repositories.

We are trying to see what the security changes are launching from the ā€œhome screen iconā€ that prevent IDX from loading. We don’t have an update on that yet.
