I noticed the ai is not very responsive when you ask it to stop or click the stop button once it gets to the "pending file changes: point. The reason I am needing to do this is it does not prompt for authorization after summarizing the changes it wants to make. Perhaps you could implement a switch to require it to always ask before making changes if the user desired.
This would be great, but it would also slow things down.
I’ve had this happen many times, I usually just reply ‘Stop’ or ‘No’ in chat and it responds quicker than the stop button. Then, when it starts to respond to Stop or No I click the stop button and it aborts immediately.
You can also try /clear.
I can’t believe you told me to try /clear and now my entire chat history is gone.
That was not good advice. 
What did you think /clear would do?
Have you used a terminal before?
It still has the context and all your previous chats are in ~/.idx/ai.
