Android Studio: “Error opening workspace” — Workspaces Temporarily Disabled Since 17th July

Hello team,

I’m encountering a persistent issue when opening Android Studio. Since 17th July 2025, I’ve been getting the following error:

“Error opening workspace: Android Studio workspaces temporarily disabled; please try again later”

Additionally, a message appears at the top saying:

“Heads up! This workspace is owned by . Be cautious with entering sensitive information, as it may be seen by the owner. Learn more”

I’ve tried resetting Android Studio, but the issue still persists. This is blocking me from accessing my projects.

Could someone from the team please look into this and share any update on when the workspaces feature will be re-enabled or how to resolve this?

I can’t believe their team do it so slowly. One of the world biggest company.

Yes it’s just too bad I’ve got work of months on this VM I don’t know how can they do that at least they can give our files as a zip file or idk am so frustrated I’ve got work of months on that thing
