I’m experiencing a frustrating bug with the prototyper. For the last few days, it’s been intermittently failing to apply XML or other file modifications. The console output frequently shows: (Omitted from agent history: changes suggested and applied to the following files: /home/user/studio/functions/src/index.ts).
What’s odd is that the AI appears to acknowledge the error, but it often takes 2-3 attempts of repeating the same process before the changes are finally implemented. This significantly slows down my workflow.
Has anyone else run into this? Are there any known workarounds or configurations I should check to resolve this “omitted” behavior?
for real, and I mean this with all due respect, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I would be ashamed to offer such an abysmal experience. it has been absolutely torturous. we’re getting kicked off the VM every 5 mins. like, why are you even letting us in, in the first place? what in the world is going on? how is this acceptable?
Google contacted me directly and I send over all my logs and local AI conversation history. In addition to that they mentioned in an other thread (~7 days old) that they are working on a solution.
My guess would be an other 1-2 weeks.
From my point of view the actual bugs and issues are fine for a preview version
Hey folks, regarding the original post about “Omitted from agent history”, we’re working on this along with some other issues affecting workspaces with very large App Prototyping agent chat histories, with fixes planned for the coming weeks.
Regarding the Omitted… I still get the message from time to time after resetting the chat history (threads & context). As soon as my history gets longer the issue intensifies again.
yes, things starts to go south around 250k tokens combined context. Once I had it at over 2500k tokens, which was unusable at that time, still pretty impressive it managed to get that big and still do some work close to it… now I’m resetting very frequently the entire context (both files), I try not to let it over 200k tokens
Happens to me too. I have sometime to tell it to “make the changes” 4 times until it makes the changes in the code. And the commit message then becomes “make the changes”.
The only communication we have from your team for these issues is through this forum.
I also don’t see an intuitive way to submit feedback through the application.
As an experienced developer encountering these issues, it has been a challenging experience.
I don’t think every user will be as patient as I am or willing to dive deep in the forums to find out why basic functionality is not working and to have the time to investigate.
