Genini not opening due to CSP error

When opening a workspace in firebase studio, the interface loads just fine, but when Gemini tries to load, I get this error:

Error loading webview: Error: Could not register service worker: SecurityError: Failed to register a ServiceWorker: The provided scriptURL (‘https://1klq5jvlseu7esuj4tnkltt3hklitdr2d3kda2mh8h186dq2l41m.cloudworkstations.googleusercontent.com/code-oss/cde-7b4e1ded580460ce9e07b74ab8782f425fa95d99/out/vs/workbench/contrib/webview/browser/pre/service-worker.js?v=4&vscode-resource-base-authority=vscode-resource.vscode-cdn.net&remoteAuthority=idx-udh-1745255014196.cluster-4xpux6pqdzhrktbhjf2cumyqtg.cloudworkstations.dev’) violates the Content Security Policy..

I’ve tried all the obvious things (clear cache and cookies, reset settings, open in incognito, disable antivirus. The ony thing that worked was opening firebase studio in another browser (Brave browser).

What browser were you opening Firebase Studio in originally?

Sorry for missing that. That issue is happening in Chrome.

Hey! Sorry for not seeing it sooner. For me, the issue was being caused by kaspersky antivirus. Uninstalled it and no more problems. Maybe you don’t have Kaspersky but I’m sure others might cause similar issues. Let me know if I can help with anything else :+1:

I am also getting this issue but only in the last few days. Previously it has been fine. I am going to do some diagnostics and report back.

I was also using Kaspersky and the license runs out today so I uninstalled it. I’ve been using Kaspersky the whole time I have been using Firebase Studio and its not been a problem but uninstalling and rebooting has fixed this. I can’t be sure if it was the uninstall or the reboot or both that actually made the difference.
