Seems to be a common issue, the same occurred to me and so did the reporter of this bug report. (please vote for it) https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/341436925 As a workaround, you can start a new project, then copy and paste all code (not a good workaround, but a workaround nonetheless)

Same happened here, I’ve been searching and the only relevant thing would be this Link , but it has kept failing for me, so I’ll probably have to reinstall the entire program, as @/Sunny said.

same here- seems more of a way to control VM- I am testing Github codespaces

Disable any 3rd party extensions you may have in your browser. The Grammerly extension is one that people had mentioned here in the past as one that may cause some issues with IDX.
