Slow and Cumbersome Development Environment

It is very frustrating switching between the prototyper and code view of the project.

It has to re-load the windows every time for the code view. This wastes at least 30-60s every time I make the switch, which adds up over many days and nights of coding.

If I start using the terminal before Gemini and Web View have loaded, it will take focus away from the terminal. There always seems to be a blank split window open that I have to close for the Gemini and Web windows to then go full width.

The terminal is not available as a dedicated window like Gemini and Web View are, it’s a separate window on the bottom which does not have the same features.

The terminal ‘manager’ shifts the UI of the trash and split icons when it’s an AI terminal, meaning you can click the trash icon for one terminal, and the mouse will now be on a different icon when it’s on the AI terminal. This is not ideal.

If I close Gemini or Web view, I don’t know how to open them back up without refreshing the page, which I then have to wait even longer for it to restart once again.

The VMs are horrendously slow, I can’t seem to run more than one or two terminal commands at the same time without everything else freezing, from the file manager to Gemini.

Gemini in code view has a significant delay, and does not respond immediately when clicking stop.

I find that I often have to open a new Gemini window just to get it functioning again.

I highly recommend the team look into how Replit works, it is a much more enjoyable development environment and has a very intuitive UI for opening new windows. The only problem is their code prototyper and AI features are weak compared to Firebase and they cost a significant amount. Their AI will constantly create placeholder code or fail to address each individual request you present, whereas Gemini in Firebase is much more effective.
