Yikers, what a hot mess

I step away from idx/fbs for a few months, then try to fire it up and and get into a new workspace, no bueno.., i had 9, delete all but two, still can’t make one. I know log a report …

Then tried to import a working repo had i saved at github via idx, 8 months ago, so many errors, might as well start from scratch, but oh wait, can’t …

ya get what you pay for , nothing is worth nothing

rant over…

Yikes! That does sound really bad.

Can you share what errors you saw when you tried to create a new workspace? Why did you have to delete all but two?

Also, what error did you see when you tried to re-open/import an old project?

Might not be related but in case it is, are you attempting to create a new Flutter or React Native + Expo workspace and have one already?

i guess that’s the problem? is this new?
i’m down to two, a flutter test project and an android studio workspace that was kinda working back when it was offered then not offered, but i could still open the workspace , even tho it didn’t work well. I guess i should delete that.

somehow a few days ago i was able to start a third workspace via import repo , + mobile sdk support (flutter + android).

but can’t now, i get the

Workspace limit reached for this workspace type. Please delete one or more of those workspaces before continuing.

I was deleting because of this msg

Workspace limit reached for this workspace type. Please delete one or more of those workspaces before continuing

now i’m down to one workspace, and still can’t get another workspace going.

edit: odd, if i don’t turn on Mobile SDK Support (Flutter + Android Emulator) when in importing a repo , it will make a workspace

Yes - we rolled this change as a workaround to capacity constraints we were seeing from a large influx of users.

You can create one mobile Flutter/React Native workspace. If you are part of the Google Developer Program’s Premium tier, you can create many more.

thanks for clarifying,
I’m glad I checked in all my projects to github.
I’ll deleted my one last flutter workspace and now i can get a new workspace importing a repo.

Now all I have to deal with is the versions changed on the host.

I would thought the nix file would help the new workspace configure the environment. And be in the same dev state it was last time. But it seems to be just for configuration on the ide.
