When i opened Firebase Studio today I noticed the agent ( built-in model ) was behaving differently, i was starting with a new chat session, in getting the agent warmed up using small tasks i noticed it was stopping a lot and i could see its “thinking” which is very interesting frankly.
After getting the agent more used to the app it stopped pausing and is working as expected.
When i asked the agent about this it said its system instruction said it was a new version and that these were known issues. Which is also interesting, normally i can’t get anything out these models.
While i actually like seeing the thinking, i assume this is not the indented functionality, i admit i would like to be able to toggle it, its useful sometimes but it also creates text walls.
Is this the start of a new feature i wonder or just an artifact of the dev process?
