I love this platform. But I have one complaint. It’s very slow. For example when I run my tests in a node project, they take almost 10x as long as they do locally on a pretty mediocre computer.
Is there any way to get more compute allocated to my instances? I’d be willing to pay.
Hi @jonnyc - Just out of curiosity, what are the specs for your local machine?
We do have plans to provide more powerful VMs, but they are more geared towards AI/ML workloads that need GPUs and so on.
Hi @kirupa I have a pretty basic Macbook Pro M1 (3 + years old). Nothing too special, but it’s literally 10x the speed to build and test in Node. Does that sound right to you?
The M1 machines are very powerful!
This is very valid as a comparison, for a M1 machine will be quite a bit faster than our VMs. Let me talk to the team and see what we can do here
