Critical Issue: Firebase Studio Project Inaccessible After Reload - Stuck on Loading

I was working on my Firebase Studio project for several hours when it stopped responding to prompts for final improvements. Suspecting a slow internet connection, I reloaded the page. Unfortunately, the project is now stuck on the “Setting up workspace” message and is no longer loading the project files. This prevents me from accessing or even downloading my work. It’s very disappointing to potentially lose substantial progress due to this issue, especially since Firebase Studio doesn’t offer a project duplication feature like FlutterFlow, which could provide a workaround.

Hmmm, I’m having the exact same issue now myself. I was on a roll, I thought maybe it killed itself after a relatively simple database rule change, but it’s probably just the platform?

You think it’s peak US times and the servers just can’t cope with the strain?

I’m experiencing a similar issue — the prototype view isn’t loading, but the code view is displaying the web tab.

Ah, yeah no code view for me. So no ability to rescue everything I’ve been doing for the past 9 hours.

But I will say this for FB Studio, this is the only time in my life, ever, that I’ve been able to sit down and take an interest in coding. I just lost an entire evening and not only that I’m actually proud of what I made.

So Google, please tell me this is a temporary issue and that I can get everything I worked on back, because I’d be quite sad if I lost it :pleading_face:

Did you try resetting your workspace project?

Oh WOW okay that worked

I was terrified of trying that button because I thought it was like a clean wipe

Thanks guys, It works after reset and everything remains unaffected, all ui and ux remains intact.

I’m getting “retries failed” and
“An internal error has occurred https://developers.gener…”

I’ve reset the VM. Changed browsers. No console errors. No network issues noticed etc…

I don’t see any issues with my API key but it went from creating features to stalling and failing within a day.

Even after reset its stuck at “ Initializing environment” step.
