Firebase Studio works fine when I’m working on the code, but when I switch to Prototype mode, it completely stops working and freezes. I’ve been facing this issue since yesterday. When the Prototype page opens, I try to give it a task, but it freezes midway. I have no idea what’s causing this, and I’m completely stuck. Please help me fix it

Same thing has been happening to me but its been days. Every time I ask for something new or change a code or whatever, it appears to begin the work then somewhere in the process it feels like it gets stuck. Just spinning away and sometimes I can get it back out of it when I ask another question or request, but then its as if the last task was not completed and we have to go through it again. It wasn’t doing this when I first starting using it and it built me a really app.

Could the prompt history in ProtoTyper have grown quite large? LLMs have to send the entire conversation context with each request, so an overly long history can slow responses noticeably.
Let’s try clearing it once (e.g., with /clear) and see if performance improves.
i havve done this yesterday and it was working well till today morning but now it just completely stopped working the project itself is not opening it just shows “Error opening workspace: We are currently experiencing increased load. Please come back and try again later.” i am getting this from today morning.

I have been experiencing the same problem for more than two (2) weeks now. In my case, sometimes the Firebase Studio (FS) stops working for more than 24 hours. Each time I try to load the project, it gets stuck in the unarchiving phase for many minutes, up to an hour sometimes. Just to process a small task, FS will be spinning for more than 45 minutes. It is so annoying and tiring. The same task or sometimes more complex ones will be handled in no time by Lovable or Bolt, so I just switch to those tools from FS to finish my work in the meantime. I love Google’s products, especially Firebase. As a software engineer, I have used a lot of Google tech stacks and tools like Angular, Flutter, Gemini, and Firebase, etc. for my clients, and I have always loved them. So, facing this problems with FS is so disappointing. Please improve this tool. It is the future.
Because it’s free, everyone is using it. This is the problem.
