I’m mike I have been using firebase studio since it’s launch,
I got a problem on my workspace the cloud based android studio ,
when i visit the the URL of the workspace https://port-firebaseid.cluster-id.cloudworkstations.dev/ it redirects me to enable api of workstations in gcp , it doesn’t work I tried to use your trouble shooting solutions that was provided to someone else who has the same problem but didn’t work
I wish you can help me atleast to to back up my data.
• 1. Fix the Redirect Error & Restore Access
1. **Switch Accounts / Projects:** Ensure you are signed into the correct Google Cloud account in the GCP Console. If you have multiple accounts active, open the redirect link in an **Incognito/Private window**.
2. **Enable the API:** Click the link redirecting you to the GCP Console and click **Enable** on the **Cloud Workstations API**.
3. **Check Billing:** Ensure the GCP project linked to your workspace has an active billing account attached (if required by your setup).
4. **Restart Workstation:** Return to your workspace dashboard and attempt to launch the project again.
•2. Back Up Your Data Directly via Google Cloud Console
If the web editor still fails to load, you can extract your files directly from the underlying Cloud Workstation persistent disk:
1. Open the Google Cloud Console.
2. In the top search bar, search for and select **Cloud Workstations**.
3. Go to **Workstations** in the left menu to view your instance status.
4. Go to **Disks** under Cloud Workstations to find your project’s persistent disk (where your /home/user project files reside).
5. **Extract Files:**
* Create a small, temporary **Compute Engine VM** in the same region/zone.
* Attach your workstation’s persistent disk as an additional read-only disk to the VM.
* SSH into the VM, mount the disk, and compress/download your project files (/home/user/…) via Cloud Shell or SFTP.
•3. Check Remote Repositories
If you linked a Git service (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) within the workspace, your code may already be backed up. Check your remote branches for your latest pushed commits.
