Firebase studio workspace not starting studio-9306514723

Hey Firebase community, I have been trying to access my firebase studio project constantly and it is just being very stubborn as it’s stuck at the setting up workspace screen for hours or it’s just a mostly blank screen with a shining firebase studio logo in the middle(images attached below). Btw here’s my device MacBook Pro 2023, M3 pro chip, 18gb ram, macOS sequoia 15.5 specs. Now, here what I’ve tried:
Restarting workspace, forking workspace, trying to access on different account and device by sharing project, restarting laptop, and clearing cache on browser. After so many failed devastating attempts I still am unable to start my project. FYI I have seen the ongoing firebase status issues, but my project is not an android studio workspace, it is just a web platform. Don’t know why firebase is taking so long to fix it, though.

The same here . for 2h now.

Feels like Google’s giving up on Firebase and maybe working on a replacement, Windsurf, maybe? Hard to explain how this big of an issue hasn’t been fixed or even addressed in over two weeks.

@gogo7654321 when you say restarting, do you mean choosing “Restart” from the context menu didn’t help? This has worked for me in the past.

If you haven’t already create a support ticket and provide your workspace ID.

Yeah, I restarted my workspace from the context menu, no results. I did create a support ticket, and my studio ID is studio-9306514723 but in the ticket I only put 9306514723 as my ID; however, in a follow-up email I corrected it.

Hopefully it’s still as good as firebase studio prototyper. How do you think github copilot in vs code would compare to firebase studio?

Support tickets have gone unanswered for nearly a week, and the situation makes little sense. This issue isn’t tied to any specific project. None of them are functioning. Even creating a new project gets stuck at “creating workspace…”. However, everything works fine when using a VPN, regardless of the provider or location. This suggests the issue is not project-specific but a broader, more fundamental problem.

Thanks @Vitaliy_B I appreciate the additional information. We’re evaluating ticket triage and response process and looking for ways to improve communication.

w/r/t the VPN, that is interesting. I have shared this info with the engineering team.

Wow thats the one thing I havent tried, good idea.

I actually discovered it by accident, and it may be worth noting that the VPN location didn’t seem to matter at all.

Thanks for looking into these types of issues. I found this thread because it describes my situation perfectly. I tried the vpn and it worked in less than 10seconds. This is the most recent fix I tried, but over the past week, I’ve tried overhauling my network settings, tried using different machines and connections, and got varying results. one interesting thing I found was that when two different workspaces were open i sometimes was unable to use either studio.firebase instance. Perhaps there’s something up with multitasking: I noticed while browsing the threads that people with multiple apps have similar problems.

HOLY IT WORKS, thank you so much random go on the internet, you will forever be remembered.

I visit another VPN IP address and then visit my Android Studio, I tried this way but no, what should I do?

I’m pretty sure android studio is down altogether, as shown on the status page. My project was a website.

Today, everything was working fine for me, but only for a couple of hours. The exact same issue has now returned. I’m unable to open any workspace or create a new one. It seems the fix was only temporary.

Are you talking about Android Studio Cloud? Was it working today?

@Vitaliy_B share with me your workspace ID and I will ask the team to look up your support ticket. If you are trying to open/create an Android Studio workspace you will not be able to until the incident is resolved. You can monitor the incident at Firebase Status Dashboard

Sure. Studio-3873387796. Today it functioned for a couple of hours, but the issue has returned. Thank you.

Why can’t @Jamesor give us a bit of hope to finally ease our minds about Android Studio Cloud once and for all

@Vitaliy_B Android Studio Cloud only worked for you today, because no one else has reported being able to open it. I constantly monitor this workspace because I have an extremely important project that was just about to be completed.
