Firebase Studio stuck on "Setting up workspace"

Hello,

I’m trying to use Firebase Studio for my project, but it keeps getting stuck at the “Setting up workspace → Initializing environment / Building environment / Finalizing” screen and never finishes loading.

Things I’ve already tried:

  • Restarted my computer and browser.

  • Tried in Chrome and Edge.

  • Used Incognito mode.

  • Cleared cache and cookies for firebase.google.com and studio.firebase.google.com.

  • Disabled extensions (ad-blocker, VPN).

  • Checked Firebase Console (project is created and Firestore/Hosting are enabled).

Still the issue persists.

My environment:

  • Browser: Chrome (latest version)

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Network: Tried both home Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot

Question:
Is this a known issue with Firebase Studio, or is there something else I should do to get past the “Setting up workspace” screen?

try F12 to open devtools and choose ‘network’ and post the respond body it might be db problem

Alternatively, try creating a new project with a simplified initial prompt as validation. If everything goes well and the new project is created, there’s an issue with your main project that may require support assistance.
