MISSING BUTTONS: Why no "Publish" and Preview Selection in Some Gemini Projects?

Hello everyone,

I’m using Gemini in Firebase Studio and I have a quick question about missing tools.

In some projects (like the one in image_4a4666.jpg), I have powerful tools that I use all the time:

• A “Publish” button.

• The ability to click/select elements in the live app preview to modify them with AI.

In other projects (like the one in image_4a424a.jpg), these tools are completely missing.

What simple project configuration or setting activates these advanced “Prototyping Agent” features for all my projects?

I need those “Publish” and preview selection tools back!

Hi @Proyectos_gus_zitell the Publish button is available when you’ve built an app using App Prototyping Agent only. If you started with a template, you won’t have this button. The supported way of publishing from a template is to use the Firebase CLI or Firebase MCP server. However, someone clever may have posted an unsupported way on this forum.
