Nothing but a nice UI

Firebase Studio never gets the back-end integration to work. I tried many apps and it was never able to configure the authentication and RBAC and the other back-end integration so I always end-up trashing the apps. Cannot believe that the AI agent cannot even configure its own back-end functionality. So claiming that this is a full stack AI agent is false and coming from Google is very disappointing.

I feel you. It took many tries to figure things out. It usually leaves out some key elements, but it’s generally about 90% there. The missing part is often the configuration on the Firebase Console side: linking your app to Firebase and getting the various IDs to integrate into your project. Having a basic understanding of how the Firebase ecosystem ties together helps me guide the AI Prototyper on what to do.

I have tried numerous full stack agents including Lovable and have built many serious apps and the integration is seamless. I do not even have to configure anything, it does it automatically. With Firebase, it is a pain in the neck and gets stuck in a cycle of errors that can never be resolved. This is not a mature product and Google needs to take notice of this. The same app was done in other AI agents and in a couple of iterations, things are resolved.

Hey @Issa_Eways I understand your frustration — backend integration issues can be incredibly discouraging. If you’d like, I can take a look and help you get Firebase Studio working properly, including authentication, RBAC, and the rest of the backend setup. Just share what you’ve tried so far or the errors you’re seeing, and I’ll help you get it fully configured and running smoothly.

Thank you.

The problem is that I should be able to do it myself without any problem using prompting, the same way other tools do it seamlessly. If Firebase cannot do simple user authentication-even using its own integrated products- then I can imagine how difficult it would be to build complex projects. This tool proved to be less than adequate and coming from G, it is more concerning. I was never able to finish one simple app and ended up trashing them all. Pity!
