Firebase Studio is absolute rubbish

Why would you release something like this that doesn’t work. You must be extremely embarrassed. I recently also watched a Youtube video where the creator (62k views) could not get Firebase Studio to work either.

I ask for an app to be made in Flutter and it creates a web app. OK, so you only support web apps so I will manually create a Flutter app. I ask simple questions and your AI creates build error after build error.

The only thing you have managed to do is create a really nice looking landing page.

Most of the problems is that the default LLM (gemini-2.0-flash) is very poor at coding. Why introduce a code assistance software with a default built-in lousy llm: this can only generate frustration. Yes you can change the LLM (I have change my llm to deepseek) but most users of firebase studio is not that sophisticated. Yet again, Google has made another blunder along with a whole series of blunders. Users exploring this new app (an app with good potential) would be better served if the default built-in llm was capable of writing code.
