Dear Google Team,
My name is Rasel Mahmud, and I am a developer from Bangladesh. I have recently started my development journey using Firebase Studio. Despite being a beginner, this platform has enabled me to successfully build and launch several live projects. I am already receiving very positive feedback from clients, which has greatly motivated me to continue.
However, I am deeply concerned about the possibility of Firebase Studio being discontinued. For new developers like me, this would be a significant setback.
Firebase Studio provides several powerful features that are extremely helpful for beginners:
-
Real-time live preview while developing applications
-
Ability to instantly detect issues and fix them through agent assistance
-
Option to modify or add new features by simply sharing ideas with the agent
-
Easy deployment and updates even after delivering projects to clients
I have personally built projects using Next.js within Firebase Studio, and the seamless workflow has allowed me to deliver professional applications even as a beginner.
Additionally, after delivering a project, if a client requests updates or new features, I can easily make those changes and redeploy the project instantly. This level of flexibility is extremely valuable.
My concern is whether these same features will be available in Google AI Studio or the new Antigravity platform. If not, I strongly believe that Firebase Studio should continue to exist.
If maintaining Firebase Studio is challenging, I would respectfully suggest integrating it into a cloud billing system. Developers could be charged based on usage (such as database, hosting, and features), similar to other Google Cloud services. This would allow the platform to remain sustainable while still supporting developers.
I have already started building my business around this platform. I have purchased a domain, made investments, and am planning to establish a company. If my current projects stop working or I lose access to this platform, it would cause me significant financial and professional loss.
As a new developer who is still learning and not yet highly skilled in coding, Firebase Studio has been an essential tool for me. It has helped me grow and move forward in my career.
I am truly grateful to Google for creating such a powerful platform. However, I humbly request that you do not discontinue Firebase Studio, as it plays a crucial role in supporting new developers like myself.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Rasel Mahmud
