For the past three days, I have consistently received the message “Sorry, I hit a snag. Please try again shortly or modify your prompt. [GoogleGenerativeAI Error]: Error fetching from https://monospace-pa.googleapis.com/v1/models/gemini-3-flash-preview:streamGenerateContent?alt=sse: [429 Too Many Requests] Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota)” from the prototyper, even without entering a prompt.
This issue is not confined to a single workspace; it persists across multiple workspaces. I even created a new project for testing purposes, but encountered the same problem.
I understand that Firebase Studio’s service may be undergoing changes. I kindly request that such limitations not be imposed, particularly for extended periods, as many individuals, including myself, do not possess alternative resources.
I consider Firebase Studio, especially with its AI prototyper, to be an invaluable asset for developers like us.
Apprently it is also a rate issue with requests per minute or second. What happened with me tonight is that i will send an instruction and then there would be no reply. Sending another request in that time and several times after that would make me get a rate quoate and quoata limit. So now if the responses are slow i wait befire sending next. The new changes to feel very clunky and counter productive
I have been working on firebase studios for about six months. If I ever hit limits it would just be a case of waiting a few hours and it would be back to normal. Now for the first time I am seeing “e.g check quota”, over 30 hours later from last use!
Pretty convinced google are forcing us away from firebase studios, whilst claiming it can still be used for a year yet etc. My main fear about swapping to Antigravity is all the "rate limits” angry posts that I have seen on the forums. I am guessing google has now forced that same limit system on firebase studios or something. Not good!
