This app has so much potential but unfortunately it very incapable of fixing it own errors, base 44 and Lovable AI are miles ahead , i will have to switch unfortunately, there is no point build apps that will never work or wont deploy, i have spent one month building a simple that doesn’t even require any complex logic but the app breaks every time. its frustrating an disappoint that an owned by google is so useless, why release an app that you did not properly test before release ,wasting users time. The purpose of Ai builders is to take away the manual coding this defeat s the purpose. I prototyped this same app in base 44 in 1 hours , i have spent one month doing it here. unless you are seasoned dev, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
@VouchPass I have to agree with you on redundant error solving problem. But, wouldn’t you agree google ecosystem allows more robust scalable product? Base 44 and lovable Ai does wonderful job on local projects but once you try to publish it, now its their problem. I think it depends on what you value most I guess.
you know what, I changed my mind. it is not worth the ecosystem or anything. this thing sucks. Been getting the same error tlll the morning. It is frustrating!!!
I will agree that having a software development background makes coding with the assistance of AI much easier. Feel free to Suggest a Feature or File a bug if you see an opportunity for improvement with Firebase Studio.
Firebase ai Free bro ![]()
Why google released it? To train it’s ai to build better projects for themselves.
I think when a get an error and fix it, the ai might be learning to solve similar problems as it creates projects for google
nothing is free, you pay for it one way or the other
I agree. 100%. This sucks
I successfully built an app and published, and then the same app completely crashed when I tried to fix just one issue. The fact that the AI agent can’t fix simple errors in an app it helped build is puzzling. Seeing my app disintegrate has been frustrating and painful, having spent over a month working on it, wasting valuable resources – time and data, and of course money.
For these reasons, I must admit Firebase Studio fell way below my expectations. Google can do better for sure. As someone has indicated, maybe it was never intended to help anyone build real apps, but to train AI models for Google’s own benefit.
Our goal is to most certainly help you build real apps ![]()
When you were trying to fix just one issue and ran into errors, where you using the AI from the prototyping view, or where you in our coding view?
Thanks,
Kirupa
Hi Kirupa,
I was shifting between coding view and prototype. For the record, I do have one app that is working fine since I built it, which is awesome. That however does not negate the many issues I have had with the other app, now dead and buried.
I have not given up on Firebase Studio and I still have hopes Google will fix the many issues soon. It’s too big to fail.
Thank you.
