Does Studio lie about making code changes to anyone else?

I have been having a frequent issue lately where i ask it to make some changes to the code and it will tell me that it has made the changes, it will give me that animated, xml window or whatever it is that LOOKS like its making changes, and then i figure out that its not actually doing anything at all. The problem is that it will tell me it HAS made changes. Is this happening to anyone else?

The last week or so has been especially bad. I dont know if there was some kind of backend up date or what, but its been really difficult to make any progress.

This is a known issue.

So… what can be done about it? is there a solution?

The problem seems to get worse when working with .rules

i dont think im doing that as i have just been reading about that in other posts. Im not a coder so im doing the best i can here.

It happens to me some times. Usually if it doesnt update the code, i think there is no tick mark on the right side of the code file name.

Then I will just prompt “you havent updated the code”.. And it will response with updating the code.

Hi @Nick_Blackhall. It’s usually related to the size of the context. A restart helps along with following best known methods for prompting techniques.

i feel like that used to be the case a month or two ago, but i can’t help but feel that they something changed on the back end that effected the whole system recently. my prompting behavior didn’t change, but it just stopped working for me. like i was being throttled or something.
