Gemini makes the code changes, but the app does not reflect these changes - when this iterates several times - I cleared browser cache, logged out of studio and logged back in - it works sometimes, but mostly doesn’t; the firebase studio cache is not being cleared of old versions of files - this is what Gemini AI agent tells me. Is there any other way to perform a hard reset at such times?
Did you try restarting the app from the preview window?
If I understand your problem correctly, that should refresh the app and pick up the latest changes from the code. Ideally, that happens automatically but I have noticed it sometimes lags behind and restarting the app clears it up.
Yes, of course, the first thing I do is restart the app - sometimes it works, but not always. I then logout from Studio and log back in - even that does not always work. That’s why I posted this question - in case someone else had experienced this and had a solution.
I’ve had the same issue the last few days. Each preview option pretty much shows a different version. Ive even added version numbers to my app footer to monitor this. The gemini preview shows the oldest being stuck at V1. The load in new window shows a more recent version. Code view is now showing a newer version but not the latest. Viewing in a private browser does show the most recent V1.8.
Edit: Just logged in and my preview is now showing the correct V1.8 but code view is stuck on V1.1
I am experiencing the same thing. Says it’s generating the XML, shows the XML updates, but no files were actually changed and nothing is different in the app. Restarted app, cleared browser cache and cookies, nothing seems to help. This went from being the best thing since sliced bread to more of a hassle using. It worked flawlessly for the first few weeks and in the last month it’s been nothing but problems and a lot of wasted time.
in vibe coding mode, I had the same, just after it I replied “ok fix it then and make the changes” . that helped
Didn’t understand what you said - explain?
