Your github project will need to have a dev.nix folder configured to have Firebase Studio understand how to treat it inside the editor. Otherwise, you can use the terminal and work with your project just like you would any other one.
You can create a new rust project and copy its dev.nix contents if you are unsure how to configure your workspace to work with Rust.
