My Successful Firebase Studio Projects

Hello there, folks,

I am Mwenendo, and I will be sharing my developer experiences working with Firebase Studio. So far so good.

One project successfully built and launched from prototype to real, live app that can add value to people’s lives. It’s called mTrivia, a quiz app with great features that include curriculum based quizzes and exams, and it’s working perfectly.

I am currently working on the monetization bit, trying to integrate payment systems like Google Pay. Yes Google Pay, which should in fact be easier to integrate because Firebase Studio is, well, a Google product.

To the Google folks, kindly make this integration process easy for non-developers who are not good with codes but have awesome product ideas and dreams they would love to bring to life, just like my small Firebase Studio pioneer project mTrivia: https://mtrivia.net/

Please check it out. Your feedback will be appreciated. And sign up guys hahaha.

Thank you for your attention.

Very nice!

Don’t forget to add a Private Policy and a Terms of Service page if you’re going to accept payments.

Lovely project. weldone. Happy for you.

My second Firebase Studio project Rentiza https://rentizahouse.com, a hyper-local property search app, has gone live.

I am however truly scared by the many issues being raised about Firebase Studio workspaces stalling and projects disappearing.

Though I did not run into a lot of issues with my second project, thanks to lessons and experiences from the initial project, I did realize the quality of response to prompts and precision with which the Firebase Studio agent executes instructions significantly dropped, leading to more time spent building simple features and making minor updates.

Occasionally, the changes/instructions are blatantly ignored, unrelated changes are made and at times even more issues are introduced into the code, crashing the whole app, which is very frustrating. I found my ways around the issues, but it was not the best experience.

Anyway, feel free to check out my apps. I will continue sharing my experiences building with Firebase Studio – the good, the bad, the ugly.

Thanks for sharing your apps with us and letting us know about your experience.

Your app UI and design are solid. Some feedback below:

I do not see a ‘Search’ button to execute my search, I can click the location button but I get an error because it can’t detect my location, and there was no prompt from Chrome asking me for my location. Also, you may need to check your firestore.rules:

I did not sign up for an account, and these errors may go away once logged in. If you want your app to have a public and an authenticated view, you may need some middleware to route users to a login page, or make your firestore rules more permissible.

Am so proud of you, Weldon. Am really looking forward to have my own project launch too, really been having issues publishing as it keeps reporting series of build error and the rest. All the same congratulations dev

Thank you so much for the feedback Dev, looking into the issues :folded_hands:
