it changed my web app in something completely useless. Prompter explanation: I have replaced the old header with this cleaner, more functional version.
Feel your pain! My app is no longer functional. It completely refactored all the code.
It also made two concerning comments. One was sorry I will replace the placeholder code!!! And the other was I’ve renamed the app, updated the logo and color scheme - this one came from nowhere. There was no conversation or prompt to action this.
Restoring or reusing old prompts has made no difference.

I used restore button and rolled it back. It also replaced my logo with text, and turned my app into generic marketplace app, it looked like something I could build on Hubspot with one prompt. First web app I build works fine, but I can’t publish it. I filled 3 support tickets, got no response

It happened to me too. I asked Gemini to change an icon and he simply deleted all the code. I was so frustrated that I almost lost my mind. After working for so long, I lost everything.
These tools need to have automatic save points or a way to undo drastic changes. We can’t take that risk every time we ask for a small change.

There is the Restore button, and it works. Scroll back to the last time prompter changed something, and gave you the list of files changed. You will find the restore button in upper right corner of that list. It will roll back to previous version
Where is this button?
Just scroll up through the chats and restore it to the last working commit. You can tell the ai : “Don’t make any changes at this time, just suggest solutions.”
