Really Guys ? Google SHETy

Hello, good afternoon, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with Prototype.
I was one of the fools who paid 270 USD to get the PRO version, hoping that Google would give me something different and premium.
I simply cannot understand how the largest company in the world is capable of delivering us complete garbage like this.
I don’t understand how Google manages to fall behind smaller companies like Horizon, v0, Dyad… among many others.

The layout generated by Prototype is extremely basic and often not responsive for mobile.
The slowness in creating projects is another factor that increasingly discourages me from continuing to use this service.

Google only provides integration with Firebase, once again and as always, limiting its service strictly to its own ecosystem, while smaller companies are offering integration with several well-known services in the market such as Supabase, MongoDB, Vercel, etc.

It is truly disappointing to see a company of this magnitude completely ignoring what its users are saying.
They respond to our posts with automated answers and without any context about what is actually being discussed, things like:
“Dear user, we really appreciate your feedback and we are improving our services, blah blah blah…”

When I enter the forum, what I see the most are dissatisfied users suggesting improvements, suggesting new integrations — and what does Google do? They keep shitting on our heads and completely ignoring what we suggest for their own improvement.
They ignore the community and the developers who still believe in this project.
They want to act like Apple by restricting their ecosystem, while smaller companies are increasingly embarrassing Google with their AI tools.

Unfortunately, I see no other alternative but to stop using this service.

I think all users should do the same — fight back against Google’s millionaires who ignore their users and don’t care about us at all.
If at least half of the users stopped using this tool, you would see how overnight they would provide us with an effective solution.
See for yourselves how tools like v0 are so much more effective, faster, efficient, and with higher quality layouts compared to Google’s Prototype.

Unfortunately, this is what we have: the BIGGEST internet giant being crushed by open-source projects, by small Indian companies, and by other AIs that appeared just recently.
A complete shame and humiliation for Google.

It’s important to remember this is the beginning of Firebase Studio’s journey to help democratise app building. Sure, it’s rough around the edges, but it makes sense for Google to integrate with their own ecosystem first, these are things they have more control over and test the waters for future integrations.

The AI prototype will also use many libraries for layouts that should be mobile responsive (for the large part) from the off. For example, in one of the projects I’m building, the AI chose to use the shadcn/ui library, which offers a great set of components for good out-of-the-box UI, which are mostly mobile responsible and accessible. But even with these ready-made libraries, there are still many personalised adjustments that need to be made to the components if you want something truly branded. And admittedly, Gemini 2.5 can sometimes struggle with frontend aesthetics (and coding in general) so it requires a strong vision to prompt Gemini on the changes it needs to make. But you’re right in that there is work to do on the frontend side.

I for one, am very happy with how Google Firebase Studio is shaping up. It’s already very powerful. But these are early days, and it’s not quite ready for non-technical users to embrace. But I think it will evolve significantly over the next year, particularly when Gemini 3 is released.
