Workspace does not open any more

After failed attempt to clone the workspace, I got a message “Your Workstation has stopped. Please refresh the browser window to restart it.”

Since then the workspace doesn’t open any more.

Opening the workspace from the home page, get’s to “Setting up workspace” with a spinner, however nothing is happening.

Console log shows error messages with 503 status Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 503 for requests to https://firebase-anna-okko-photo-1748365630202.cluster-ux5mmlia3zhhask7riihruxydo.cloudworkstations.dev/env/msg

same status for this request for /www/404.html

More info:

  • google.internal.developerexperience.webide.v1.WorkspaceService/GetWorkspace request is successful. Returns the data with the workspace info.

  • GenerateWorkstationAccessToken request is also 200

Then opening of the workspace fails with 503 Service Unavailable.

For some reason it’s not starting the workspace.

Maybe failed attempt to duplicate the workspace that I’ve done just prior to this somehow broke the existing workspace as well.

OK, “Reset” on the workspace unblocked me.

I was very hesitant click “reset” because I thought it my delete all my files. The dialog that was shown after clicking “reset” explained that the files would be safe but I needed to click that scary “reset” to see it.
I’d suggest to rename the “reset” button to something like “restart”.
