Firebase Studio Frequent Disconnects - Only Resolved by VM Restart

Hello everyone!

Since yesterday, I’ve been experiencing frequent disconnects with Firebase Studio. This usually happens when I’m using Gemini to read files or while testing my application. I keep getting the message “Disconnected from your workspace. Refresh the browser tab to reconnect.” The only way I’ve found to resolve the issue is by manually restarting the VM from the Firebase Studio menu, as simply refreshing the browser tab isn’t enough.

  • I’m accessing the environment using an up-to-date browser and a stable internet connection.

  • I’ve already tried clearing the cache/localStorage and restarting the workspace.

Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone have suggestions for adjustments, quotas, or solutions that could help avoid needing to restart the VM so often?
