I’m having a very frustrating experience with Firebase Studio. The workspace keeps disconnecting constantly, which makes it incredibly hard to work smoothly. On top of that, the interface is very slow, and the performance issues are getting worse day by day.
Despite these ongoing problems, nothing seems to be fixed. I expected a reliable, developer-friendly environment from Firebase, but this is turning into a major productivity blocker.
Please take these issues seriously and provide a permanent solution. This kind of instability is not acceptable for any professional platform.
Hello Color Hut! It appears everyone (including myself) is running into this disconnecting and stuttering output issue. My guess is there was a backend update that is causing this issue and the team has this as a high priority. You should add youself to this thread: Extremely Sluggish
Here, we are talking about this same issue and @kirupa has already given a response, telling us how we can submit a critical bug report if it is app-breaking. He’s been extremely helpful and the past and with so many of us reporting this bug, expect that he is vaulting this to the top of the list.
I feel your pain, but it’s good to stay level headed and accurate as to what the information is. I personally am no longer having issues with the lag, so not everyone is experiencing your issue. My issue (the thread that you linked) was hijacked for a different performance-related issue, which I am sure was extremely frustrating to the posters, yourself included. My issue specifically was due to a sharp increase in load when IDX moved to Firebase Studio.
Again, I don’t mind the use of that thread and SaaS performance can be super frustrating. But it’s good to be clear about symptoms and specifics.

from today I see a different “window” about the analysing of the program. But the moment it starts doing his stuff , 'half-way" it stops, no message, nothing for more then several hours. Going out, resetting the workspace… but yes frustating…
My main page is medium big, so if it goes through it takes a long time, but now it stops somewhere.
